As a video game company, we wanted to meet fellow gamers and connect with the people who would one day play our video games titles. We wanted to show just who we are as developers, sharing our heart, our passion for creating games, and who we are as creators with the community.
Unlike mainstream idol style vtubers, our characters do not have lore or elaborate back stories. Our streaming characters are creative representations of our respective talents and personalities. Don the Robot represents the mathematic side of video game development, while Meg the Slime represents the artistic aspects of video game development. Together, Don and Meg make up the two major aspects of video game development, much like their creators, Donovan and Meagan Gates.
Game Grotto was founded by Donovan Gates in 2015, and released it's first video game title on Steam in 2020. Before that time, Donovan spent several years in college learning video game development, and made countless small video games as practice before releasing his first game to the public.
The Game Grotto Network is a content creator group founded by Don, Meg, Cranberri, Ubu, and SurDerpy. Don and Meg personally hand picked each member of the group when seeing there potential as creators, and growing close to one another through streaming. It is a group of like-minded friends who love creating God centered video game related content, art, music, and video games alike. We are not an agency of any kind, but simply a group of people working together to make content for any and all to enjoy.
Game Grotto is a 2 person company known as Game Grotto Softworks, LLC. We are located in Seattle, WA and currently work out of our home office.
